New Passports of the Republic of Serbia
The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington, DC informs Serbian citizens that the Embassy started accepting applications for new biometric passports on May 27, 2009. For applying it is necessary to make an appointment . (Read more - in Serbian)

The passports bearing the name “Federal Republic of Yugoslavia” (blue passports) will be valid until December 31, 2011.

The hearing on „The State of Affairs in the Balkans“ was held on November 15, 2011 in the U.S. Congress Subcommittee for Europe. The chairman D.Burton (R-In) underlined the significant progress made by all countries in the past few years, which the congressional delegation had a chance to see first hand during its recent succsesfull visit to the region. Assistent Secretary of State Phillip Gordon was testifying before the Subcommittee members on the US policy in the Balkans.
Among other topics related to the Republic of Serbia, congressmen were mostly interested in situation in Northern Kosovo and the ongoing investigation of the allegations presented in the Report of the PAACE Special Raporetuer Dick Marty.
