Jadranka Jovanović is an artist whose performance carries strength that impresses the audience and reminds that the times of true primadonnas never ends - many critics say.

 

Born in Belgrade (Serbia) where she graduated – B.A. in theory of music and solo singing, and M.A. in solo singing.

 

Her international career began at the Scala in Milano where she sang in operas Carmen and Andre Chenier conducted by Claudio Abbado and Riccardo Chailly. At the Scala she also appeared in the leading role in the world premiere staging of Orfeo by Luigi Rossi.

 

After that Jadranka Jovanovic toured all over the world. Barcelona (Teatro Liceo-Adriana Lecouvrer with P. Domingo and M. Freni, Roberto Devereuh with conductor R. Bonynge), Roma (Fantasy on the theme from Carmen with J. Carreras), Salzburg (Mozart`s Messa in C minor), Seville, Firenze, Parma, Palermo, Catania, Cagliari, Trieste, Pesaro, Bergamo, Bordeauh, Toulon, Touluse, Dublin, Lisbon, Liege, Tokyo, Nagoya, Vancouver, Toronto, Mexico City, Palm Beach, Prague, Sofia, Bucharest, Budapest, Athens, Rio de Janeiro (4 productions including Carmen with P. Domingo), first performance of Carmen in the Middle East- UAE, Beijing-to name a few cities where Jadranka Jovanovic preformed with success.

 

Besides Domingo, Freni and Carreras, her partners also were Eva Marton, Daniela Dessi, Janice Baird, Elisabete Matos, Elena Suliotis, Cecilia Gasdia, Eva Brener, Peter Dvorsky, Jose Cura, Giuzeppe Giacomini, Kaludi Kaludow, Ignacio Encinas, Pierro Capuccilli, Ruggiero Raimondi, Robert Hale, Bonaldo Giaioti, Alain Fondary, Renato Bruson, Eduard Tumagian, Paata Burchuladze …Beside above mentioned conductors, she also performed with conductors like M. Nikola Rackov, M.A. in piano, full time piano professor and the head of the Media Department at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade is one of the most active Serbian music artists. Up to now, he has realized more than 2200 performances on all 5 continents, constantly seeking new and original ways of presenting music.

 

Nikola Rackov is the founder of multimedia presentation of art in Serbia, author of hundreds of TV and radio programs, as well as the author of 10 books on music and media. His performing art has been recorded on 10 LPs, and one CD, as well as on many video tapes.

 

Nikola Rackov is also the founder or art director of many cultural events in Serbia, and on several occasions he acted as a visiting professor at a number of American universities / Fulbright Program /.
